Refreshing Watermelon Shake

My take on a delicious, and refreshing drink I always ordered when I was in the Philippines.

Ingredients:
  • 2 - 3 cups of chilled seedless watermelon, cut into small pieces
  • 1 cup of chilled ginger tea
  • 1 cup of ice
Method:
  1. Put ice and tea in blender, and blend till the ice are lightly crushed.
  2. Add the watermelon and ginger tea, and blend till the mixture is smooth.
  3. Add sugar or honey if desired.

Tip:

This drink will also be delicious with honeydew or cantaloupe.

Hope you'll like it!

Yes. No. Maybe: e.l.f. Essential Smudge Pot

I love eyeshadows just as much as I love lipsticks.  No matter what formula they come in, I’ll happily give them a go.

That being said I haven’t played around with ones that have a mousse like texture as much as I’d like to.  They can either be too pricey or have chunky pieces of glitter, which is no bueno in my book.

Fortunately these shadows from e.l.f. are as gorgeous and wallet friendly.  From what I’ve seen and read, they can be applied with a brush and/or fingers, and it’s best to look down and (try) not to blink until it dries.

While these might be a little tricky to apply at first, I can see this being something I’d reach for when I’m not in the mood to do much with my eyes.

The four I'd picked are: ‘Gotta Glow’, ‘Back to Basics’, ‘Brownie Points’, and ‘Poppin Party’.

Which ones would you pick?

Oh and before I forget, 'Brownie Points' is similar to Tom Ford's Cream Color in 'Spice'

Out & About | Outfit 58

While I don't wear pink that often, I usually like pairing it with pieces that are more structured or casual.

How do you like to wear pink?

Scarfs where something I've only worn during fall or winter, but that's going to change once it's spring.  I love how effortlessly it can complete just about any outfit.

Are you a fan of scarfs?

Biting the Bullet

Being the makeup lover that I am, I've experimented with all sorts of formulas, colors, and finishes under the sun.  Whether or not the products worked out for me didn't matter too much, since it’s helped me figure what types of products help take me to my happy place when I’m getting reading.  (Even though taking it off can be a pain in the a**, but that’s another story).

Needless to say, trying out all those products has led my kit to grow bigger than I’d want it to; as strange as that may sound. While I do enjoy having options, I don’t like having more than I’d be able to use; hence why I clean out my kit so much.

In order to figure out how to keep my kit from getting out of control or make me feel like it’s missing something, I thought about the looks that I like to do, and the products I'd really want or need to create those looks.

After sorting through my kit, and figuring out what its missing, I made a list of the products that have been on my mind for quite some time.  So, after several cups of tea to keep me calm, I have shopping list that had me feeling excited, yet dreading about my future shopping trip.

Oh well, guess I’ll just have to bite the bullet eh?

Do you have products you’re thinking about getting?

Yes. No. Maybe: Maybelline's The Smokes & The Brights Palettes

I've heard about Maybelline coming out with a smokey and bright palettes, but considering how disappointing the first palette is, I haven't bothered checking to see when they would come out with them.

When I was looking through my feed on bloglovin' I checked out a post talking about one of the palettes, and checked out more reviews on it and for the other one as well.  Sad to say, I don't feel these are worth getting either. The swatches and tutorials looked very disappointing, and just didn't look like they’d be worth the effort it would take to make them work.  (They were patchy, not very pigmented, and looked like a hassle to apply and blend)

Even though I said it before, I feel it’s worth mentioning again that it’s odd that they still choose not to use the formula from their Eyestudio line.  If they used that formula for these palettes, than they may actually be worth getting. I wonder if they'll ever figure this out.

Personally, I’d rather get one or both of the La Nude palettes from L’Oreal.  I belive they’re about $15 or so. Even though they're a bit pricey, the good things I heard about them sounds like they're worth the price.

Did you get one or both of these palettes? What do you think of it/them?
