Why?!

Why must companies decide that they should "fix" what already works, or worse, discontinue it?  What made them think this was somehow a good idea to change or discontinue products that their customers enjoy using?!

Sadly, this In The Know* palette by stila is no exception.  While there are tons of neutral colored palettes out there, this is the one I use the most.  Unlike other palettes, there isn't one shadow in this one that isn't pigmented or easy to blend.

Oh well, when the time comes to replace it,  I can get one of stila's Eyes Are The Window palettes in Mind.  I wonder if it would end up being my new HG products..hmm..

Do you have any favorite products(s) that have been reformulated or discontinued?

BLTN (Better Late Than Never)

Even though this mascara has been out for so long, I was never intrigued enough to try it, until a couple weeks ago.

After trying different ways to apply this, I can safely say I was better off not getting this mascara.  I've tried wearing this by itself, layered with different mascaras, and it still flaked on me!

Having a bunch of little black flakes on my face is never a good look....at least in my book it's not.

I wish I was one of those who loves this product since it's so wallet friendly, but sadly that isn't the case.

Do you like this mascara?  What mascaras do you reach for the most?

If you'd like to see what mascaras I do like, please check out my boards 1 & 2.

Yes. No. Maybe | Natasha Denona Eyeshadow Palettes

Hello! I'm Angela, & I'm addicted to eyeshadows.  Whether they come in a pan, pot, tube, or stick, I'll happily give them a go. Needless to say, I was intrigued when I heard about Natasha Denona's palettes, and did "some" research on them.  After watching a numerous videos, and reading reviews, I can confidently say that I'm not missing out on anything by not getting either of the palettes for the following reasons.

First off, I didn't find the swatches very impressive, and I've seen quite a few of them.  Sure they're pretty, but I just didn't get excited about them when I watched them being swatched.  The metallic, and shimmery shades looked nice, but I can get a similar result by using fix plus, or eyedrops with other eyeshadows.  Sure it's an extra step, but at least I won't need to spend a lot to get a similar look.

Secondly, the ingredients dosen't justify the steep price.  If a product containing a bunch of parabens isn't a concern for you, I'd say stick with one that's more wallet friendly. Sadly, these palettes do contain parabens, and cost $239 (usd and not including tax).  Personally, I can't see how the ingredients would make these palettes high end.

Last but not least, the limited amount of matte shadows in these palettes doesn't make them complete.  Considering how much these cost, there shouldn't be a need to use another palette to complete a look.  I would personally find these a pain to work with when I'm doing someones makeup.  It would be different if I was only doing my own, but when it's someone else,  I don't want to have to take out a bunch of other ones to get the job done.

I don't know if I'm just hard to please, but I just don't feel like these palettes are worth getting.  If I bought these before doing my research, I would not hesitate about returning them.

Did you get one or both these palettes?  What do you think about it/them?

Links for the palettes can be found in my N.F.M board.

 P.S.

Sorry for not being very active on my blog lately.  Life happened, and I had to put posting on the back burner for a while.  Fortunately, things are better now, & I can post more regularly.

I've been active on instagram lately, so if you'd like, you can follow and connect with me there. I reply back to all (appropriate) comments.
